FCNL is a Quaker lobby in the public interest lobby whose motto is:
We seek a world free of war and the threat of war

We see seek a community where every person’s potential may be
fulfilled
We seek an earth restored.
FCNL is not a PAC or a special interest lobby. The site has
newsletters, special publications and action alerts. The site provides

Friends founded AFSC in 1917 to carry out service, development, social
justice and peace programs throughout the world. The site describes the

Center
on Conscience & War
The organization was formed in 1940 as the National Interreligious
Service Board for Conscientious Objection. It is an association of
religious organizations to which Friends belong. Its purpose is to
defend and extend the rights of conscientious objectors to war and
violence. The Web site contains current articles, such as
“Basic Draft Registration Information”. It has an
online store containing pamphlets and books about conscientious
objection. The organization holds conferences around the country
explaining CCW and providing draft counselor training. It also issues
free, current “Action Alerts”. The site has links
to other sites providing information about CO.
